I’m Pastor Scott, Lead Pastor at New Covenant Community Church. I began my ministry here as a volunteer Jr. High Director and ran the set team in the infant stages of the church. Since 1987 I have held every position imaginable, except in women’s ministry.
My wife Katie and I have been married since 1989, and we started attending NewCov during our dating years. We have 3 grown and married children: Tyler (wife Miranda), Ryan (wife Mattie), and Kyndel (husband JJ).
My newest title is “Grandpa” to Briar and Beckett. It’s been so much fun! I love being a “Papa”! In my free time I enjoy fishing, golfing, and hanging out with friends and family.
Hey! I married my beautiful Wife Karissa in September of 2016. We have 3 amazing kids Jack born in 2020, Jones born in 2022 and June born in 2025. We love spending time at the coast, in the mountains, or at a local park. Basically, we love the outdoors! I love coffee, In n out, and occasionally competing in Spartan Races. I’ve been in ministry since 2012 and my first 9 years were spent in Student Ministry. In July of 2021, God brought me to NewCov to serve as the Connections Pastor and in January of 2026 I moved into the Executive Pastor Role. We are thrilled to be a part of the NewCov family!
Hey, NewCov family! My life with Christ began when I was five years old. I was raised by loving, faith-filled parents. Sandy and I were married in 1980. She’s amazing! We like seeing people come to know and grow in Christ, as well as hiking, biking (her), jogging (me), and hosting family gatherings. She’s a home organizer, and I’ve been pastoring for 40 years.
We have four great kids and their four remarkable spouses, along with 12 amazing grandkids. Our family gatherings are often creative and always loud! So grateful and glad to be part of NewCov!
Hey! I married my beautiful Wife Karissa in September of 2016. In May of 2020 we welcomed our firstborn son, Jack, into the world and in December of 2022 we welcomed our second son, Jones. We love spending time at the coast, in the mountains, or at a local park. Basically, we love the outdoors! I’ve been in ministry since 2012 and my first 9 years were spent in Student Ministry. In July of 2021, God brought me to NewCov to serve the Young Adults, Connect Groups, and Partnership ministries. We are thrilled to be a part of the NewCov family!
After serving 8 years active duty in the military, and obtaining my B.A. in Pastoral Ministry, I pastored in Eugene, Oregon before God led me to Fresno in 2004. My wife, Karen, and I are a blended family…
I have four daughters and she has four sons (I already know what you’re thinking LOL!). We also have five grandchildren. I have been a part of NewCov’s staff since 2021 and I have to say, “I love the people of this church!”
I grew up in Avenal, California, and attended West Hills Community College and Fresno Pacific
University. I joined the NewCov family in 1999 after serving as the Young Adult Pastor at
Peoples Church in Fresno.
I love staying active, whether I’m running or riding the spin bike. On most Saturday mornings,
you can find my wife, Kristy, and me at Woodward Park, running and enjoying life with our
friends. But most of all, I love spending time with Kristy, my wife, my best friend, and the love
of my life.
And don’t be surprised if you spot me at a local Starbucks with a cup of dark roast coffee in
hand, enjoying great conversation and connecting with friends!
Kristy and I have been married since March 2000, and we are blessed with two adult children,
Boyce and Rebekah, and one terrific grandson, Boyce. Life is full, exciting, and we are so
grateful for the people God has placed in our lives!
What’s up! My name is Branden Moroney, and I’m blessed to be a part of the NewCov Youth & Young Adults Team! I’m married to my amazing and beautiful wife, Emily, and being married to her has been one of the greatest blessings in my life. In my free time, I love golfing, hanging out at coffee shops with Emily and fly fishing with friends!
I graduated from Grand Canyon University with a Bachelor’s degree in Biblical Studies and earned a Master’s degree in Christian Leadership. I have a growing passion for students because youth ministry is where the Lord truly found and transformed me, and I love getting to invest in both the present and future generation of the Church.
Hey NewCov! My name is Malik Black and I am blessed and honored to be on the NewCov youth team. I was born in Indiana and moved to Southern California when I was 10 years old. I have always served in youth ministry since graduating high school because I loved helping students find Jesus for themselves! In 2023 I graduated with a Masters in Leadership Theology at Life Pacific University.
I have a beautiful wife Breann and two amazing sons Stephen and Wesley who are my world. Basketball holds a special place in my heart and spending time with family doing anything! I always felt a call on my life for full-time ministry and am excited to start the journey here at NewCov!
WORSHIP & CREATIVE ARTS
Hey everyone! My name is Ryan Ruch and I have been on the New Covenant staff since June 2023 serving in production and tech. I have a passion working in audio, lighting, and video fields of production and I hope to bring joy to people with the things I do best. In my spare time, I like to produce and record music as well as stay fit and travel.
ADULT MINISTRIES
I began attending NewCov in 2017 when my now husband, Ryan, and I started dating. We got married in 2019 and now have a beautiful daughter. Together we enjoy going to the Farmer’s Market, good coffee, hiking, going to the beach, and spending time in God’s creation! I have seen The Lord do so many amazing things in Women’s Ministry and look forward to seeing all He has in store! If we haven’t met yet, come say hi!
CONNECTIONS
My husband, Jack, and I have been married 33 years. We love NewCov! I especially enjoy meeting new faces and helping people get connected with the church family. We have 2 children and we enjoy spending time together as a family. When I’m not at work, I’m probably at the bakery with my golden retriever, Spark.

Hi, I’m Stacey! I’ve been attending NewCov since 1999, and on the NewCov team since 2001. Starting in Children’s Ministry, and now working in administration and event planning. I have so much fun planning events and decorating the church for all the different seasons. My husband Scott and I have three amazing daughters, and currently one amazing son-in-law.
When I’m not at NewCov I’m probably redecorating my house, watching Hallmark movies, or College Gameday on the couch with our cute dog, Emmy.
KIDS MINISTRY
Hi NewCov! I’m Abby Bispo and I’ve been the Children’s Director here since 2023. I grew up in the Fresno/Clovis area, and I graduated from Fresno Pacific University with a BA in liberal studies. I’ve been serving students of all ages for over 30 years. I have a heart to see kids come to fully know and fully follow Jesus all the days of their lives! I am the loudest singer and fastest talker on the planet! If you bring me a Diet Pepsi we can be best friends for life.
Hi! My name is Miranda Borman and I am the Mosaic Special Needs Director. New Cov has been my second home since 2020! I married my best friend Tyler in November 2022, then became a mama to our sweet boy Beckett in August 2023, and shortly after had a second blessing, Callum in March 2025. I have been working with children and adults with special needs since 2019, which brings me endless joy! When I am outside the office, you can find me on the east side of NewCov’s campus coaching GameTime T-Ball and soccer with my husband. When I’m not on a field, I’m usually spending quality time with my boys, friends and family. I am excited to see this ministry continue to grow and thrive with God’s lead!

PRESCHOOL
Hello NewCov! I’ve been working with preschool age children for over 20 years, which have been the best years of my life. There is something so special about planting the seed of Jesus Christ in the next generation and watching their faith grow and flourish. I tied the knot in 1999 to my amazing husband Tim.
We have 5 children, 2 cats and one sweet dog named Sadie. When I’m not working, I spend my time painting, taking long walks with my dog, and whipping up delicious cuisine for family and friends. My favorite pastime is watching my children partake in their extra curricular activities.
For over two decades, I have been passionate about Early Childhood Education, dedicating my heart to nurturing young minds.
Community, culture, and family are at the core of who I am. You can find me sharing meals with loved ones, enjoying live music, or dancing to the rhythm of Latin beats when I am not on campus.
Each day, I strive to make a positive impact, reflecting the love and grace that I believe Jesus embodied.
I began working at NewCov Early Education at its conception. Children have always been at the center of my heart, and there’s nothing I love more than watching them grow and shine in the purpose God has for their lives. My faith in Jesus shapes the way I see the world and love the people around me.
I’m a wife to Mitchell and mom to our sweet baby girl, Quinn Rose. When I’m not chasing after our rescue dog, Marlee, you can find me cheering on the Niners, playing a competitive ping pong match, or planning the next family barbecue.
Hello, I’m Jessica! With over 15 years of experience working with young children, I’m proud to be a part of the NewCov family at NewCov Early Education. I married my husband, Jose, in 2015, and together, we have two beautiful children. We also foster children with intensive needs.
On top of all that, I live deep in Madera where I get to enjoy country life. I have sheep, goats, pigs, dogs, cats and an insane amount of chickens. My passions include gardening, cooking, and singing. Additionally, my father is a pastor, which means that ministry holds a significant place in my life and in my heart.
Hello, NewCov! I’m Brenda. I have been deeply involved in the education field for over four years, and working with children is my true passion! I feel incredibly blessed to have the opportunity to teach them about Jesus.
Before I chose to return to school to pursue my career in education, I was a stay-at-home mom to six wonderful children, all of whom are now mostly grown and thriving. I have been happily married to my amazing husband for 20 years.
We are actively engaged with our church and committed to our walk with God, participating in a motorcycle ministry as well as several other ministries.
In my free time, when I’m not at school or church, I enjoy baking, camping, and going to the beach. I love being outdoors and exploring!
STUDENT MINISTRIES
I’ve been married to my husband, Dan, for 31 years, and we’ve been part of NewCov for more than 30 of those years. We love serving together in various youth programs and being part of the NewCov community. We’re blessed with four kids—two serving in the Air Force and two working in healthcare—and we couldn’t be prouder of them. One is married and another will be married soon! In our free time, we enjoy golfing, skiing, and traveling to explore new places and make memories together.

Hi New Covenant family. My love language is the color teal and hugs! I grew up in Fresno and graduated from Clovis West. I went away to college at UC Irvine, but found my way home after graduation when I started dating my hubby, Joey. We have 3 kids, Tyler, Mia, Lucas and our dog, Cash. I feel most relaxed sitting on a beach, line dancing, or driving my Mini with the top down. My favorite Bible verse is Zephaniah 3:17.

Hi! My name is Pavlo, I am married to Nataliya Svider. I have been an employee at New Covenant Community Church since June 2010. I have three children named Ruvim, Miron, and Samantha. My hobbies are travelling and photography. I love to ride around on my motorcycle, as well as repairing different mechanisms and machinery.

Pavlo grew up in Ukraine and lived there for 38 years before moving to Fresno with his family! Pavlo has 5 daughters, 3 son-in-laws and 4 grandchildren. He has been working at the church since November 2013. He loves spending time with family and going fishing and skiing.
Miron Svider

I was born in Kamianets, Podilskyi in Ukraine and immigrated to the United States with my family in 2009. I was baptized in 2019 and have been serving in ministry ever since. I married my beautiful wife Veronika in August 2023, and we don’t have kids just yet… But we do have an adorable Siamese mix cat named Millie. In my spare time I like to go off-roading, kayaking, spear-fishing, and working on rusty, old jeeps.
