We’re focused on loving and leading 5th & 6th grade students to be fully devoted followers of Jesus. We do this through Biblically based teaching that is relevant and engaging, worship through music, interactive small groups, and fun games!

A Space Just For Them
Preteens need a unique environment that bridges the gap between children’s and youth ministries. We provide a dedicated, high-energy atmosphere where they feel understood, valued, and safe to be themselves.

Deeper Discipleship
We move beyond basic Sunday school stories to tackle real-life topics. Our teaching encourages students to ask genuine questions, explore scripture, and practically apply biblical truths to their everyday lives.

Authentic Community
Friendships matter more than ever at this age. Through team games and meaningful small group discussions, we foster strong connections that allow preteens to support one another and grow together in Christ.

SURF midweek is an outreach-focused gathering that aims to make the Bible come alive to students in every stage of their faith.
We want our students to be excited to invite their friends to join them at SURF. To accomplish this, we have created a program with some insanely fun games, Bible-based teaching, and connect groups to help students develop meaningful relationships with one another.
SUNDAY MORNINGS

The goal of Sunday mornings is to provide a more discipleship focused service. Students will engage in worship, more in-depth teaching, and connect groups.

MEET THE team.
What’s up! My name is Branden Moroney, and I’m blessed to be a part of the NewCov Youth & Young Adults Team! I’m married to my amazing and beautiful wife, Emily, and being married to her has been one of the greatest blessings in my life. In my free time, I love golfing, hanging out at coffee shops with Emily and fly fishing with friends!
I graduated from Grand Canyon University with a Bachelor’s degree in Biblical Studies and earned a Master’s degree in Christian Leadership. I have a growing passion for students because youth ministry is where the Lord truly found and transformed me, and I love getting to invest in both the present and future generation of the Church.
I’ve been married to my husband, Dan, for 31 years, and we’ve been part of NewCov for more than 30 of those years. We love serving together in various youth programs and being part of the NewCov community. We’re blessed with four kids—two serving in the Air Force and two working in healthcare—and we couldn’t be prouder of them. One is married and another will be married soon! In our free time, we enjoy golfing, skiing, and traveling to explore new places and make memories together.
